Updated no-deal Brexit guidance on workplace rights

Source: Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy | | 22/08/2019

The government has published updated guidance on workplace rights to help stakeholders prepare for the UK leaving the EU without a deal in place. The guidance confirms that, in most cases, there will be no changes to workplace rights if there is a no-deal Brexit. However, there will be some changes to the rules on employer insolvency for UK employees working in the EU and on membership of European Works Councils.

Further updated guidance may be issued depending on the terms upon which the UK leaves the EU, so stakeholders are advised to monitor the guidance page for updates, and to sign up for e-mail alerts to get the latest information.
